Project name: Dome House Visualizations

Client: Geodesic.Life

Role: everything except modeling.

Client's Problem: how to make people instantly interested in the house? Create buyer's persona and make 3d visualizations for them.

Software: Cinema4d

After collaborating for a while, Geodesic.Life founders invited me to be a part of a team and take care of visual identity of the company during participation in the New European Bauhaus program. We got business and design mentors, and it was decided that we need to have atmospheric renders to connect with target audience and make them imagine themselves there.

Before starting we needed to come up with two buyer personas and create images for them. I ended up with two imaginary people for that: Hannah and Christian.

Hannah

Hannah have just gotten a job in the north of Sweden. It was her childhood dream to live in the nature and do yoga outside, watching the sun rise above the horizon. Her husband works remotely, and so they need to move with a 2 year old child north. They both are vegetarian and want to find affordable and sustainable solution

Christian

Christian is a single father of two grownups. In his 50th he has lived in several houses and owns a business. He is investing in sustainable solutions as he believes it makes a difference for our planet and its ecology. Now he is looking for a comfortable summer house where he can invite his extended family for holiday

And so, for Hannah I went with a northern lights scene (as target audiences locations are Nordic countries). A place where she would love to be. Happily living in nature with her family

Paying less for maintenance. Have a sustainable and comfortable house with good climate control. Can demolish it without living a sign of human presence in case of need.

For Christian I went for a forest scene, as people in Nordic countries love to be in nature. So now he has a comfortable house in the forest. Can use it a summer house and rent it out as AirBNB.  Comfortable size for both living alone and inviting extended family. Invested in a sustainable solution, so his contribution to a better future is growing.

I was provided by 3D models of the house from ArchiCad, and I built scenes and textures from scratch. It was challenging to work with a model from other software as mesh is just the worst, but I manage to overcome it in the end.

I had several feedback sessions with an architect, which helped me to create better atmosphere and have more realism.

Now both images are a part of a pitch deck for Geodesic.Life and are presented on their website.
